MOSCOW , 7 Mar. A criminal case was opened against blogger Lerchek (Valery Chekalin) and her husband Artem Chekalin for tax evasion, the Investigative Committee of Russia reported.
According to the investigation, the author of fitness marathons from 2020 to 2022 attracted her husband and other relatives to split up the business in order not to switch from individual entrepreneurs to the general taxation system. Thus, Chekalina evaded the payment of 300 million rubles in favor of the state.
Also, the website of the Investigative Committee reported that searches were carried out at the place of residence of the Chekalin family.
Lerchek is known for her fitness blog. In addition, she ran weight loss marathons. In March 2022, the blogger's Telegram page was included in the Top 30 most popular Russian-language channels.
Earlier, the Internet was outraged by the cost of the first piece of cake at Chekalina's birthday party. The dessert was sold for 1.7 million rubles.
