The athlete was finished off already lying down
The details of the execution of 24-year-old master of sports in Greco-Roman wrestling Azamat Kairov near a fast food restaurant on Volgogradsky Prospekt in Moscow became known. A company of Chechens began to insult athletes.
As MK managed to find out, on the night of February 9-10, the wrestlers returned from Ufa, where the Russian championship was held. Four athletes, among whom was Azamat, took a taxi at the airport and went to the sports school. Driving along Volgogradsky Prospekt at about 2.30 the guys decided to have a bite to eat, for which they asked the driver to stop near a fast food restaurant. Azamat and his 23-year-old colleague got out of the car and went inside to order. About 15 people crowded near the entrance. One of them asked the wrestlers to smoke, but he was calmly answered that the athletes do not smoke. Then one of the company began to insult Azamat, hinting that they are bad athletes, since they don’t smoke or drink. Kairov understood Chechen a little, so he asked to do without insults.
A verbal skirmish ensued, which turned into a fight. Azamat was knocked down and beaten — it was difficult to resist a large company. At the same time, Azamat's friends, who were waiting in the car, ran to the rescue and tried to calm everyone down. And it seems that the fight ended, but then one of its instigators suddenly took out a gun and pointed it towards the athletes. Friends decided that it was better to run away, but the criminal started shooting and hit Kairov twice. The athlete fell, after which 5-6 people began to beat him again. After inflicting a few more blows on the recumbent, the company retreated. Kairov managed to call an ambulance and the police himself, after which the athlete was urgently hospitalized. The wrestler was diagnosed with two gunshot wounds in the back and an operation was performed to extract rubber bullets — now nothing threatens his health and life.
The police began an investigation into the fight and infliction of gunshot wounds to the athlete.
