In his publication in Chinese Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed to the People's Daily newspaper that cooperation between Moscow and Beijing is on a solid basis and is directed to the future. He noted that one of the main successes is the Power of Siberia gas pipeline, which has become the «deal of the century» in terms of its scale. Supplies of Russian oil and coal to China have also increased significantly.
Russian and Chinese companies are actively involved in joint projects, including the construction of new nuclear power units and LNG projects. In addition, industrial and agricultural cooperation between the two countries continues to strengthen. At the same time, Russia and China are developing new technologies and exploring outer space.
Cooperation between Russia and China within the framework of the Power of Siberia project began in 2014. The gas pipeline with a length of more than 3,000 km is designed to transport natural gas from Siberia to China. The project is one of the key areas in the development of energy ties between Russia and China.
