The parody telegram channel “Judge Ushakov” was created on March 17, the day after the judge of the Leninsky District Court of Yekaterinburg, Vladimir Ushakov, appointed former head of the city Yevgeny Roizman 14 days of arrest.
The reason for the administrative punishment was the repost of the video “Why Putin puts Navalny in jail”, made in a group called “Evgeny Roizman” on VKontakte. The politician himself claimed that he had nothing to do with this group and that he did not have an account on VKontakte.
The published video contained the symbols of the Anti-Corruption Foundation, which was previously recognized as an extremist organization. Because of this, Roizman was found guilty of demonstrating extremist symbols (Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
