The theater and concert directorate of the Pskov region entered into the contract for the performance of the singer Yolka (Elizaveta Astakhova) on Pskov Day the requirement not to «discredit» the Russian army and not to speak out on political topics. The document was posted on the public procurement website, the Pskov province drew attention.
Events dedicated to Pskov Day are scheduled in the city on July 22-24. The draft agreement with Elka does not say exactly when the singer will perform. In total, the singer will be paid 3 million 347 thousand rubles for the performance.
According to the agreement, before the concert, both parties will have to “not allow statements aimed at discrediting” the Russian army, and not to spread symbols prohibited in Russia, and during the performance itself, “avoid any political topics.”< /p>
Singer Elka was born in Uzhgorod, Ukraine. She did not express her position on the war, while after the Russian invasion of Ukraine she deleted all posts on Instagram.
Previously, such requirements for artists participating in state events were not known. After the start of the war, the Pskov theater and concert directorate, for example, did not include them in contracts for performances by the writer Tatyana Tolstaya or the balalaika player Alexei Arkhipovsky.
In the summer of 2022, Fontanka published a list of musicians whose performances, according to the publication, were banned in Russia due to anti-war statements. Among them were Noize Mc, Oxxxymiron, Face, Zemfira, Monetochka, Pornofilmy and Krovostok.
