
MOSCOW, March 24 Channel One CEO Konstantin Ernst received a special prize «For his personal contribution to the development of the film and series industry» of the Association of Film and TV Producers television, reports the correspondent.
The 10th APK&T award ceremony is taking place in Moscow on Friday.
«Thank you for this award … Guys, we are lucky, we are doing the most interesting work in the world — we are creating new worlds,» said Ernst, receiving reward.
During his speech, the general director of the channel also reminded that on April 20, viewers will have the opportunity to «go into space» — the film «Challenge» will be released.
«The Challenge» is the first feature film shot in space aboard the ISS. As part of the project, on October 5, 2021, the first ever film crew went into orbit — actress Yulia Peresild, director Klim Shipenko and Roscosmos cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov. As part of the ground-based filming unit, 53 filming shifts took place, three of them in the Il-76 MDK zero-gravity laboratory aircraft. There were 12 shooting shifts on the ISS.
The Association of Film and Television Producers Award has been awarded since 2013. Series, films and achievements of film industry representatives in their creation are marked with a professional prize. The choice of laureates is based on the collegial opinion of the leading Russian producers who head the leading film companies.
