The Efremov Interdistrict Court of the Tula Region sentenced 53-year-old Aleksey Moskalev, the father of a schoolgirl who drew an anti-war drawing, to two years in prison in the case of «discrediting» the army. This was reported by a Mediazona correspondent from the courtroom.
At the same time, Moskalev himself was not brought to the meeting. After the verdict, the judge announced the decision, according to which Masha is transferred to the care of social services.
Prosecutor Oleg Timakov asked that Moskalev be sentenced to two years in a penal colony and banned from using the Internet for three years. As the prosecution noted, the presence of a young daughter in a man is a mitigating circumstance, and the commission of a crime during the period of a “special operation” is an aggravating circumstance.
The security forces drew attention to a resident of Efremov in April 2022, after he was called to school because of an anti-war drawing by his daughter Masha. Then Moskalev was fined because of a comment in Odnoklassniki, and at the end of the year a criminal case was opened against him because of a post about the murders in Bucha in the same social network (Part 1 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code).
Since March 2, the man has been under house arrest, his daughter was taken to an orphanage and they refuse to give it to her father. It turned out that in January, the Commission on Juvenile Affairs filed restriction claim p parental rights of both parents of the girl. The lawsuit was registered in court at the end of February. The meeting is scheduled for April 6.
During the debate, the prosecutor demanded that Moskalev be sent to a pre-trial detention center, since house arrest was «repeatedly violated.» A resident of Efremov explained that the bracelet that fixes his geolocation does not work in some rooms of the apartment, including in the bedroom and toilet.
