The nominees for the award are young artists under 35 who declared themselves in 2022. According to the artistic director of the Moscow Art Theater Konstantin Khabensky, supporting such talents helps «to see a picture of what is happening today.»
«
«Since we do not have enough time to see everything, we trust the experts who travel around cities, theaters, exhibitions and "bring" their nominees,” the artistic director explained. – And the members of the jury are already choosing the winners. We don't want a «break in patterns», we want the birth of another new tradition.

Interestingly, the award consists of two parts. The first is a figurine — a reduced copy of the high relief «The Swimmer» by Golubkina, which adorns the facade of the theater.
«
«This is a young man who is struggling with the elements of the sea. It turned out in tune with how young creators today are trying to emerge, survive and make themselves known,» Khabensky believes.
The second part of the prize — the winners in each category will have the opportunity once a year to use the New Stage their creative projects.
«
"It is important for us that the award is held "tasty", bright, youthful,", Khabensky said before the ceremony.
The organizers succeeded: the action will be remembered for a long time.

“We need to watch and follow the nominees, how their creative destiny will develop further,” the ballerina Svetlana Zakharova shared on the sidelines before the ceremony.
She added that even a simple entry into the list of finalists indicates that that the author or creator is worthy of attention.
The nomination «No comments» was the most unexpected: it was established at the last moment and became «out of age». The prize was awarded to the Moscow Art Theater actor, 89-year-old Stanislav Lyubshin.
“It will be given to people who, by their life, deed, profession, example, do not need to be represented and commented on, calling them on stage,” Khabensky explained.
Fyodor Bondarchuk presented the award in the category “Cinema” and remembered About my family.
“
“It is an honor to stand on the stage where your mother served, my wife, who is sitting there, in the gallery, studied at the Moscow Art Theater School,” said Bondarchuk.
The winner was Elizaveta Ishchenko for her role in the TV series «Alice Can't Wait». Her screen mother, Anna Mikhalkova, came to support the actress.
Konstantin Khabensky awarded the laureate in the category «Theater» — Anastasia Belova from the Moscow Council Theater for her participation in the production of «Dowry» by Evgeny Marchelli.
There was also an unexpected result of the jury's vote. Alisa Prudnikova was supposed to announce the winner in the Contemporary Art category. It featured Vova Perkin (exhibition «The Day of the Utopian», Gallery «Anvil»), Jolie Alien («Dry Nettle», Moscow Museum of Modern Art) and Evgeny Muzalevsky («How to Catch a Moth?», Nabokov's Apartment Museum).< br />But she said that the judges decided not to award the first prize in this category, because «spectacle» is not enough to determine the best. Therefore, the winner will be chosen from among the nominees for the next award. crop-width=»600″ data-crop-height=»338″ data-source-sid=»rian_photo» title=»Actress Anastasia Belova, who received a prize in the Theater category at the Chekhov Art Theater Prize in Moscow» class=»» />
