Vladimir Putin accepted the resignation of Omsk Region Governor Alexander Burkov and appointed Vitaly Khotsenko as Acting Head of the Region. This was reported on the Kremlin website.
In a videoconference, Putin noted that Khotsenko «worked in the north for 5 years», and the problems of Siberia are «understandable, not indifferent» to him.
“I will make every effort to gain your high confidence and residents, if you offer in the region that I previously heard about, then we will make every effort to make people’s lives better,” Khotsenko said in response.
Vitaly Khotsenko was the head of the government of the self-proclaimed DPR, he is a classmate of the head of the FBK Maria Pevchikh in the sociology department of Moscow State University. In December, the official was slightly wounded at the Shesh-besh restaurant in Donetsk, along with Dmitry Rogozin.
