In the Kirov region, a previously convicted local resident was detained, who left the colony to participate in a special operation and, presumably, committed a murder upon returning home
Evgeny Prigozhin, the founder of PMC «Wagner», commented on media reports that wrote about the detention in the Kirov region on suspicion of murdering a previously convicted local resident who was allegedly released from the colony to participate in the SVO.
Earlier, the telegram channel Baza announced the arrest of citizen Ivan Rossomahin, who is suspected of murdering an elderly woman in the city of Vyatskiye Polyany, the third largest in the Kirov region. It was alleged that the 28-year-old man had previous convictions, including for murder, and then joined the PMC. Local media reports said that Rossomahin returned to his native village of Novy Burenets on March 21 and that local residents immediately began to complain about his behavior. So, it was reported that the citizen was often seen drunk and aggressive, writes «MK Kirov».
Vadim Varankin, the head of the police in the Vyatskopolyansky district, confirmed the complaints of citizens, he even specially met with concerned residents. «We have such an individual Rossomahin, who returned from the SVO», he is «a problematic person,» Varankin said. A police officer told local residents that Rossomahin was detained for a day under the Code of Administrative Offenses, after which they planned to bring him home under escort to collect personal belongings, and then put him on a train «to get him out of here.» The police chief also pointed out that, according to Rossomahin, «he has signed a new contract» with PMCs and that he is on vacation until May, but Varankin did not want to wait another month: «I will not tolerate him here until the beginning of May.» The policeman also said that he had agreed with Rossomahin on his voluntary departure.
However, on March 29, a message came from neighboring Vyatskiye Polyany about the brutal murder of an elderly woman in her house. Baza reported that Rossomahin was detained on suspicion of murder and he was «issued a confession».
«As for Ivan Rossomahin, it is very bad that he committed a crime,» Prigozhin said, noting that «for the future» if any PMC employee «behaves aggressively or defiantly, we must be informed.» Then, according to the founder of the PMC, «we will carefully pick him up under white hands and send him to the front.»
Also, Prigozhin said that «out of the thousands of those who came out, there were only 20 crimes.» And he recalled his old narrative about the involvement of convicts in the functioning of PMCs: «Thanks to the fact that they fought, a lot of your children did not die.»
