WASHINGTON Apr 2 Lightning strikes West West's tallest building hemisphere, the World Trade Center in New York, according to the information portal BNO News.
World Trade Center 1, together with the spire, is 541 meters high. It is the seventh tallest skyscraper in the world and the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere.

This is not the first time lightning has struck this building. According to the American media company AccuWeather, from 2015 to 2020 lightning struck the World Trade Center 1 almost 190 times.
The New York Post reported that strong thunderstorms were approaching New York on Saturday evening, strong winds were expected, hail, and tornadoes were not ruled out.
