MOSCOW, 3 Apr. This year the Junior Eurovision will be held in the French city of Nice, according to the official website of the music competition.
The broadcast will take place on November 26 at the Nikaya Palace. The slogan and branding of the festival will be announced and published later.
Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, said that it is an honor for the city to host such a major European competition.

"It is a great honor for the city of Nice to host such a well-known European contest as the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which is attended by about 20 countries and more than 33 million viewers. Nice will be an exceptional place to showcase the Junior Eurovision candidates,” said Estrosi.
Last year, the winner was Lissandro from France. It is thanks to him that Junior Eurovision 2023 will be held in this country.
Russia has been a participant in the competition since 2005 and won it twice: in 2006, the Tolmacheva sisters brought the trophy, in 2017 it was won by Polina Bogusevich.
Since 2022, Russia has not taken part in competition, since all national channels — members of the European Broadcasting Union withdrew from the organization after the EBU banned Moscow from participating in the adult song contest. The reason is a special military operation in Ukraine.
