Yuri Samoilov, who was previously arrested because of the chevron of the Azov regiment on the phone splash screen, was reported under the article about «discredit» armies. Mediazona drew attention to the case card on the website of the Cheryomushkinsky District Court of the capital.
At the end of March, Samoilov was arrested for 14 days after a subway passenger complained about content on his phone. The reason for the protocol under the article on the dissemination of extremist symbols (Article 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) was the chevron of the Ukrainian Azov regiment on the phone splash screen. The denunciation of the Muscovite was written by a metro passenger named Ermakov. According to him, the man “showed” the picture for “one minute.” This was confirmed by two witnesses.
During the trial, Samoilov said that his attitude towards the war in Ukraine had changed after watching Michael Nucky's YouTube channels and the FREEDOM TV channel. He began to publish anti-war videos on Odnoklassniki and made the Azov chevron a headband “in order to protest against a special military operation.”
On March 31, a Muscovite was supposed to leave the Sakharovo detention center after serving his arrest, but then he was not released immediately. Samoilov was first taken to the police station on the subway, but then released. What caused its delivery is unknown.
