MOSCOW, Apr 5 Deputy Governor of the Iranian Isfahan Province for Issues policy, security and society Mohammad Reza Jannesari denied reports of a drone attack on the complex of the Islamic Republic's Ministry of Defense in Isfahan, which allegedly took place on Wednesday night, IRNA reported.
«The reports published by a number of social networks (about a drone attack on the complex of the Ministry of Defense in Isfahan last night) are unreliable,» the agency quoted Jan-nesari as saying.
Earlier, the Tasnim agency reported that the complex of the Iranian Ministry of Defense in Isfahan was attacked by a drone on Wednesday night, which was repelled by an air defense system. According to the agency, the drone was shot down by an air defense system while approaching the complex, while no damage was caused.
Reports of drone attacks on Iranian Defense Ministry facilities have been received before. So, on the night of January 29, a strong explosion thundered in the Iranian city of Isfahan, located in the central part of Iran. Later, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic reported an unsuccessful attempt to attack one of its military facilities with weapons using quadrocopters with an explosive charge. One of the drones was shot down, the other two fell into defensive traps and exploded. The media reported on the possible involvement of the United States and Israel in this attack.
