
MOSCOW, 5 Apr. Sales of AvtoVAZ in Russia in March increased by 90 percent compared to the same month last year, to 23.3 thousand Lada cars, and in general in the first quarter — by 22 percent, to 64.2 thousand cars, according to company message.
«According to the results of March 2023, 23,335 commercial and passenger vehicles were sold by official Lada dealers in Russia, which is 89.9 percent higher than in March 2022,» the message says.

«In total, 64,240 Ladas of all models were sold in the first quarter of this year, which is 21.9 percent higher than in the first three months of last year,» AvtoVAZ specified.
The companies said that Lada Granta traditionally remains the sales leader: 16.3 thousand cars were sold in March, which corresponds to the figures for February of this year and is 373.5 percent higher than the results of March last year. Also in March, 2.7 thousand Niva Legend SUVs were sold (+212.1 percent compared to March 2022), and Niva Travel sales amounted to 3.7 thousand cars (+83.1 percent).

AvtoVAZ owns production sites in Tolyatti, Izhevsk and St. Petersburg. In mid-May last year, the French Renault transferred its stake in AvtoVAZ (67.69 percent) to the state property of Russia. Now the brand consists of four families of models: Vesta, Largus, Granta and Niva. Sales of brand vehicles in 2022 amounted to 188.6 thousand vehicles (-46 percent compared to 2021).
