Gundarov predicted the creation of a Western military coalition in defense of Ukraine
Ukrainian President Zelensky arrived in Warsaw on his first official visit. He will meet with the President of Poland Duda, Prime Minister Morawiecki, deputies of the Seimas, big businessmen and then on the little things — with mayors, volunteers, Ukrainian refugees … Although everyone understands that all this «humanitarian tinsel» is just the tip of the iceberg. The most interesting thing is with whom and what does Zelensky actually plan to negotiate?
On what is expected from this visit in Warsaw, «MK» told, having studied Polish sources, a military expert, captain 1st rank in the reserve Vladimir Gundarov.
Interestingly, the most cited version of the Ukrainian-Polish dialogue on the Web is related to the recruitment of political allies by Zelensky to prepare possible negotiations with Russia. This version was expressed by the ex-commander of the ground forces of Poland, a general with an unpronounceable surname Waldemar Skrzypchak.
He believes that Zelensky is in a «strategic impasse.» The moment of resolving the conflict through political compromise is approaching. And here Kyiv cannot do without Warsaw. So Zelensky will try in Warsaw to agree on a coalition of countries that will have to stand behind him during future negotiations with Moscow.
However, a number of Russian experts are sure that this version, so actively dispersed and quoted by the media, is just a red herring, disinformation.
“Speaking of the “strategic impasse,” Gundarov clarifies, “General Skshipchak is just quoting American analysts. Recently, they began to assert that Ukraine cannot defend itself, because it lacks the strength. And Russia cannot defeat it, since its capabilities are at the limit. Now, they say, a stalemate has developed in Ukraine. In fact, everything is not so. This is just a general view that does not take into account the strategic offensive and defensive capabilities of both countries. And the difference is significant there.
— But at the same time, reserves are accumulating. Missiles, fuel, ammunition are coming in from both sides, and all this is stored somewhere.
– Yes. And I think our command understands this. The United States is now actively preparing and pushing the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack.
– Before his visit, interesting information came from the Office of the President of Poland. The Poles told in some detail what they would talk about with Zelensky. Among a number of common topics, there were also such as the issue of crossing the Polish-Ukrainian border.
– This is exactly what is most interesting! If we were talking about Ukrainian refugees crossing, then this issue would not be worth raising. They come from Ukraine anyway, they are accepted. They can even come to Poland with their own internal passports. So, you can understand, we will talk about something completely different — about something that is not openly discussed: about crossing the border by Polish forces, which should enter the territory of Ukraine. Otherwise, what would be the point of raising this topic at all?
In this regard, another issue should be raised at the same meeting: the settlement of historical Ukrainian-Polish differences.
< p>— If Polish troops enter the territory of Ukraine, then it is necessary to agree that the Bandera people do not remember their “glorious past” and start slaughtering the Poles on their territory again. And the topic of «settlement of historical differences», I think, will be the most difficult in these negotiations.
— They are preparing. Poland is now heavily armed. The number of its army from 95 thousand people has increased to 162 thousand, it is planned to increase to 300 thousand. The Romanians, by the way, are also actively arming themselves. But they have it worse, because the US 101st Airborne Division has now moved there.
Here is a completely possible scenario: the Romanians take Ukrainian Bukovina, where a Romanian protectorate will be created. Poland comes to Western Ukraine, to its, as it considers, ancestral lands. This will not be considered an occupation, but will be announced as helping Ukraine to establish a peaceful, happy and prosperous life. True, with the help of foreign troops.
The Hungarians, although cautiously, are also bending their line. They have already handed out so many of their passports in Transcarpathia that less than half of Ukrainians are left.
– Now the idea of collective defense of Ukraine is in the air in Europe. In fact, it is a matter of turning it into a western protectorate. True, they forgot to ask Russia: does she agree with this?
For its part, the United States — this idea is expressed by their military analysts — proposes the creation of an Asian-Atlantic international organization, which will include countries that are not necessarily members of NATO. The emphasis there is proposed to be on the political component. It will be an allegedly neutral structure that will delegate its troops to the territory of Ukraine — something like peacekeepers. They must protect Ukraine from Russia. This organization should work, of course, under the leadership of Washington.
— They really need a victory in this conflict. But they want to win in such a way that Russia does not feel defeated.
To all appearances, the offensive that the Americans are planning with the forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is precisely connected with weakening Russia's position. So that her voice cannot be heard too loudly when they divide Ukraine.
They urgently need to carry out a successful offensive. To do this, they will use any information stuffing — both about the «strategic impasse» and about the weakness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They can't lose. From a military point of view, this is their last decisive chance. There will be no other. If they fail in this operation, this will lead not only to serious reputational costs for the United States, but also to the inability to dictate their terms to Russia in the upcoming partition of Ukraine, which, apparently, will be discussed during Zelensky’s current visit to Warsaw.
