MOSCOW, 7 Apr. Athletes and coaches from new regions of Russia will be able to create their own federations, assign ranks, receive payments and preferences, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said. Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, so that their athletes, coaches, judges can use all types of state assistance. The document prepared by the government will allow them to create regional federations and fully enter the all-Russian federations, assign sports categories, titles,» Mishustin said.
He noted that athletes from new regions will also be able to participate in competitions of any level, individually or in the national teams.
«And receive all the due payments, preferences, including for winners, for prize-winners. And those who have the TRP badge will receive additional points when they enter Russian universities,» — the head of the Cabinet emphasized.
Such measures, according to him, will help, first of all, to preserve sports traditions, and young people will have more opportunities for high results.
