
MOSCOW, April 7 Darya Trepova, a suspect in the murder of war correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky, was taken to the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center, a member of the Presidential Human Rights Council wrote on her telegram channel RF Eva Merkacheva.
«Daria Trepova, suspected of killing military correspondent and blogger Vladlen Tatarsky, was taken to the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center. Here, the alleged terrorist will spend the entire investigation and trial,» Merkacheva wrote.
An explosion took place on April 2 in a cafe on the Universitetskaya embankment in St. Petersburg, the well-known war correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky (real name Maxim Fomin) was killed, dozens were wounded. The next day, a suspect was detained — a Petersburger Daria Trepova, who later became an accused. According to the NAC, the assassination of Tatarsky was planned by the special services of Ukraine with the involvement of agents from among the supporters of the Anti-Corruption Foundation*.
Initially, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case on murder in a generally dangerous way, and then toughened the article to a terrorist attack and trafficking in explosives. The punishment is up to life imprisonment, but Trepova does not face it. According to Russian law, a woman in the country cannot be sentenced indefinitely, the maximum sentence is 25 years. On April 4, the Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested Trepova for two months as part of the case of a terrorist attack in a cafe in St. Petersburg.
