
PERM, April 10 Deputy of the Perm City Duma Sergey Zakharov, who moved to Germany and criticized the conduct of a special military operation, wrote an application for early resignation, the Duma reported.
In mid-November 2022, the regional branch of the party reported that Zakharov moved to permanent residence in Germany and criticized the decision of the authorities to conduct a special military operation. After that, the deputy was expelled from the faction of the United Russia party in the City Duma.
«An application (from Perm City Duma deputy Sergei Zakharov) on early resignation of powers has been received. We are guided by the Labor Code of the Russian Federation: today the application was received, within three days he should be expelled,» the City Duma said.
The interlocutor of the agency explained that after Zakharov is dismissed from the post of deputy, the issue of resignation by him will also be considered at the April plenary meeting of the City Duma.
«I thank everyone who helped, supported and even criticized for my work and I apologize to those whose orders I did not have time to fulfill. I did not think that I would have to resign as a deputy ahead of schedule,» Zakharov wrote about his decision on Instagram* and He added that he was not going to change his beliefs.
Zakharov was born into a family of a military man and a physician, graduated from the Aktobe Civil Aviation Higher Flight School and Perm State University, served in a group of Soviet troops in Germany. Later he worked in senior positions in Perm enterprises «Trust No. 7», «SMU No. 34» and «A-Mig». Zakharov was elected to the Perm City Duma from the United Russia party in single-mandate constituency No. 5 (Industrialny District), but was not a member of this party.
