The Tomsk Regional Court appointed Judge of the Novosibirsk Regional Court Inna Petrunina a year and a half suspended sentence with a two-year probationary period in the case of disclosure of state secrets (Part 1 of Article 283 of the Criminal Code). The hearings in the Petrunina case were held behind closed doors. The details of the accusation are unknown, as the materials are marked «secret». The official, his deputy and the contractor are accused of embezzlement and fraud due to fake invoices for the acceptance of equipment for justices of the peace for 9.2 million rubles. The head of the Novosibirsk Regional Court, Rimma Shatovkina, having learned in the summer of 2018 about the upcoming search of one of the defendants in the case, warned Acting Governor Andrei Travnikov. In March 2020, the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, asked the High Qualifications Board of Judges to allow a criminal case against Petrunina.
