A criminal case was opened against an activist from Prokopievsk, Kemerovo region, Lenard Valeev, for incitement to terrorism (Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the local television and radio company «27 Plus».
According to the company, the criminal prosecution is connected with Valeev's posts on social networks. The activist himself is involved in the case as a suspect.
Valeev's publications were discovered by employees of the Center «E», they sent the materials for examination. Later, experts concluded that the posts contain «public calls for terrorist activities.» This information was handed over to the Investigative Committee, after which a criminal case was opened.
“27 Plus” writes that Valeev had previously actively participated in protests, including those organized by supporters of politician Alexei Navalny. According to the TV and radio company, he was also brought to administrative responsibility under the article on violation of the rules for holding actions (Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
