
YEKATERINBURG, April 11 A special fire regime has been introduced in the Chelyabinsk region since April 12, the regional head office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported on Tuesday.
“By a decree of the government of the Chelyabinsk region, from April 12, a special fire regime is introduced throughout the region,” the report says.
It is clarified that during the regime it is forbidden to make fires, burn dry vegetation, burn solid waste and garbage. Violation of the imposed restrictions entails the imposition of an administrative fine in the amount of 10,000 to 800,000 rubles.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, on April 12-13, a high fire danger is expected in most areas of the Chelyabinsk region, 5-10 new forest fires are predicted. On April 9 alone, 106 landscape fires were extinguished on a total area of 100 hectares, on April 10, the department received 95 reports of garbage and dry vegetation burning in the region.
