MOSCOW, 12 Apr. The Ministry of Culture commented on the departure of Andrei Moguchy from the post of artistic director of the BDT. The press service of the department shared the details with journalists.
“The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation approved the new charter of the Russian State Academic Bolshoi Drama Theater named after G. A. Tovstonogov, according to which the general management of the theater will be carried out by the director of the institution,” the ministry said in a statement.
The Ministry of Culture noted that the current contract of the artistic director of the BDT Andrey Moguchiy expired on April 9.
«The current director of the BDT, Tatyana Arkhipova, will continue her work in the theater in accordance with the new charter,» the department clarified.
Andrey Moguchiy has been working as artistic director of the BDT since 2013.
