“Relocation” has become the main word of the past 2022, but not everyone leaves aimlessly. Many Russians approach the issue of moving abroad calmly and deliberately, intending to go only where they are ready to offer work. And this is not uncommon — over the past year, the number of invitations to work in other countries for Russians has significantly increased: there are 57% more of them.
Among the states that are ready to offer jobs to specialists from Russia, Indonesia has become an unexpected leader: “offers” come from there 40 times more than a year ago. Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates are also popular — the number of invitations from there has quadrupled.
The overall growth was 57%: most of the invitations to interviews, and then to work, Russians receive from Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and other friendly countries. However, there is no need to put an end to Europe either: Russian specialists are still interested in Greece, Luxembourg, Portugal, Hungary and Slovenia, as well as in Cyprus, Estonia, Montenegro and Germany — despite all foreign policy difficulties, they are ready to make good masters of their craft job offers and help arrange the move. Sometimes invitations come from Asian countries.
— Now I'm working, but my resume hangs on a recruiting site: you never know, what if there will be a good offer? Recently, an international company approached me and asked: how would I feel about relocation to Vietnam? Moreover, they themselves found me, I did not respond to their vacancy, — says a young logistics specialist, 22-year-old Igor T. — We talked for a long time, but still did not grow together: as it turned out, they needed an IT specialist rather. Yes, and it was unprofitable in terms of money: they offered almost the same salary as I have now in Moscow.
Such offers are most often received by those whose specialty is easily «converted» to a foreign manner. If we are talking about neighboring countries, then the language barrier does not become a problem — in the same Belarus, for example, in most cases you can get by with the Russian language. The professions most in demand abroad are sales and customer service managers, as well as programmers and developers. Designers, artists, contact center operators often receive invitations from abroad. En masse began to invite secretaries and assistants to the head, copywriters and editors, cashiers and sales assistants. Moreover, we are often talking about companies that have themselves relocated from Russia in recent months.
Meanwhile, in social media posts dedicated to job searches, you can increasingly see job advertisements outside of Russia. Here, for example, from a recent one: “Fulfillment operator and outsourcing service provider for online stores and marketplaces. Yerevan, Armenia. Salary — according to the results of the interview. The meaning of the first word had to be clarified: in simple words, “fulfillment” is all operations with an order from the moment it is placed to the moment it is received by the buyer. They are also looking for a website builder or a content marketing specialist to work in Yerevan. Copywriter, i.e. a copywriter will be welcome in Tbilisi — one of the recently posted vacancies says that a «clerk» is required who knows financial and economic terminology. The amount of potential income, however, is not indicated by almost anyone and nowhere — everything is discussed.
