After the loss of Artemovsk, Kyiv will go to Melitopol
Artemovsk (Bakhmut) is practically taken. Several Russian Telegram channels report this at once. There is an assault on residential buildings in which the remnants of the Armed Forces units have settled. It is expected that the forces of the Russian Guard will enter the liberated areas to maintain order. At the same time, it is possible that after the surrender of Artemovsk, Zelensky will decide on a large-scale counteroffensive.

A soldier of the 1st army corps of the DPR with the call sign «Mazur» shared his opinion on this matter with the correspondent of «MK».
“Very often, Ukraine, trying to divert attention from its miscalculations and failures, made distracting maneuvers,” he said. — One of the latest examples that immediately comes to mind is the attack of a sabotage group in the Bryansk region, when the Ukrainian command thus tried to shift the vector of media attention from the deplorable situation of its soldiers in Artemovsk.
Now the situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine is getting worse and worse every day, and when Artemivsk is completely taken, Zelensky will have to do something urgently to avoid questions that are uncomfortable for him from Western curators. A counteroffensive is all that remains for Kyiv to do in a similar situation. “Yes, we lost Bakhmut, they will say, but we are ready for a larger battle.”
This step is necessary not only to oust our loss from the information field, but also to raise the morale of the Ukrainian military who, in fact, are not fools and understand the real state of affairs. I think they will counterattack almost immediately, after recognizing the surrender of Bakhmut, otherwise it will not be possible to cover up the problem.
— I think there is. The endless streams of Western weapons keep coming and going. We see it here on the front lines and in the news. I would not say that the Ukrainians are exhausted and are no longer capable of anything. Yes, perhaps their morale is not up to par, but, as we know from communication with prisoners of war, their command does not hesitate to take even the lowest measures of pressure in the universal concept, so that the soldiers remain in the ranks. I mean detachments and executions.
— I think it will be the Zaporozhye direction, towards Melitopol. They are not particularly interested in the Kherson region, and it is not so easy to force the Dnieper. The Donetsk direction is not easy for us and for the enemy. We see that in more than a year of fighting, the front line there has not changed much. The Svatovo-Kremennaya direction is so well fortified that an attempt to counterattack there is tantamount to shooting oneself in the foot. The enemy understands this too. What remains, as I said, is the land corridor to the Crimea. I don’t believe that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will succeed in this direction either, but the entry will be spectacular. The United States will appreciate Zelensky's «demobilization chord».
