MOSCOW, April 16 orthopedic enterprise» Alexander Pronin assessed the chances of the Olympic champion in ice dancing Roman Kostomarov to return to sports.
It was previously reported that doctors are preparing the athlete for prosthetics after several amputations.
«We had cases when the patient was discharged, but when he left the hospital, he again suddenly became very ill. Everyone's body is different. You can't guess how he will behave. Everything will depend on how well the prostheses take root, and in general on many other factors. On how Roman in general, things will go, and, of course, from the will of God,» Pronin was quoted as saying by msk1.ru.
Kostomarov was admitted to intensive care with pneumonia on the night of January 10. In February, it became known that he had developed sepsis, as a result of which doctors amputated part of his leg and several fingers on his hands.
