A criminal case has been opened in Moscow over a video of the burning of the Koran by a lake in Kosinsky Park, where the construction of a mosque was discussed at the beginning of the year. Article, which is being investigated, is not given in the press release of the Moscow Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The video in question was posted on April 14 on Tiktok. The author of the video holds the Koran in his hand, standing in Kosinsky Park on the shore of the White Lake opposite the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin, and sets it on fire.
In the background, at this time, the song of Stas Mikhailov plays with the words “Holy Rus' — I live and pray here”, and the inscription “Moscow for Russians! Know your place” and the hashtag “Triozerye” is one of the names of Kosinsky Park.
This is the only tiktok of the author, a user with the nickname rusfoines9v, who does not have a single subscriber. Videos on the same day began to be re-uploaded on Telegram channels and public pages on VKontakte. Despite this, the most original video — at the time of writing the news — had only 601 views and 14 comments.
The video was commented last night by the head of Chechnya, Razman Kadyrov, linking him to «Ukrainian provocateurs.» According to him, “specialists and the leadership of the FSB”, as well as “the resources of the Moscow City Hall” were involved in the check because of TikTok.

In December 2022, the Moscow City Planning and Land Commission approved the allocation of a site near another lake in Kosinsky Park for the construction of a mosque, which was fenced off under transport node. The decision was not final and was not officially announced. Officials, in response to inquiries from residents, denied the plans.
After several gatherings in March against the construction of the mosque, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that another site would be given away for this — near the Moscow Ring Road.
