VOLGOGRAD, April 17 Police have detained a man who, as investigators suggest, smashed a shop in the city of Dubovka, Volgograd region, with a crowbar after remarking sellers, said on Monday the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region.
According to the agency, on Friday last week, the director of a chain of stores in Dubovka contacted the police and said that an unknown man in one of the supermarkets broke 12 refrigerators, a cash register and scales with a crowbar. The police managed to identify the suspect, he turned out to be a previously convicted 45-year-old local resident.
According to the police, the man was in one of the chain stores that day, he prevented the sellers from working there, for which he was reprimanded .
“After some time, armed with a crowbar and wearing a face mask, he came to the nearest store to his place of residence and smashed almost all the property there,” the ministry said in a statement.
It is noted that the issue of initiating a criminal case under the article «intentional damage to another's property» is being resolved.
