Police officers of St. Petersburg killed a pensioner who opened fire on them while detaining
In St. Petersburg, a 65-year-old pensioner was shot dead by police officers who opened fire on them during his arrest. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
On Friday, April 28, residents of the house 124 on Moskovsky Prospekt turned to the police with a complaint about a rowdy neighbor from the 2nd floor. Since the man was very noisy and did not let anyone into his apartment, the Ministry of Internal Affairs asked for help from the Ministry of Emergency Situations in entering the premises
The rescuer, when trying to get into the apartment through the window, was under fire; the intruder wounded him with a shot from a gun in the shoulder. After that, it was decided to immediately open the apartments.
After the police officers entered the apartment, the man opened fire from a pump-action rifle already at them, having managed to fire three shots. All of them hit the shields and armor protection. The attacker was wounded by return fire. He subsequently died from his injuries before the ambulance arrived.
No local residents were hurt.
