ANKARA, Apr 30 Turkey may announce «big news» on oil production very soon, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez said.
Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the discovery of a deposit in southeastern Turkey of 150 million barrels of net oil reserves (approximately 21.3 million tons, using a conversion factor of 7.23), estimated at $12 billion. According to him, this field is one of the ten largest discoveries made onshore this year.
