MOSCOW, May 2. President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli called the art of fashion designer Valentin Yudashkin a landmark phenomenon, the academy's press service reported.
«With pain in our hearts, we are experiencing the departure of one of the brightest creative personalities of modern Russia, the most talented artist, a wonderful person, Valentin Yudashkin. His art became a landmark phenomenon at the turn of the century, and his unique handwriting brought world fame and well-deserved love to the master … This is a huge, an irreplaceable loss,» Tsereteli said, according to the press service.
He also expressed his condolences to the family, relatives and friends of the fashion designer.
Yudashkin died at the age of 60. For the past few years, the fashion designer has struggled with a serious illness.
