ULAN-UDE, May 5. More than 50 people work to extinguish a forest fire near a dacha non-profit partnership ( DNT) in the Ivolginsky district of Buryatia, the press service of the republican forestry agency reported.
According to the data of the regional forestry agency, a forest fire broke out near the Teacher's House. The preliminary cause of the fire is careless handling of fire.
«There is no threat to settlements. More than 55 specialists are already in place — from the Trans-Baikal base of aviation forest protection (that is, our paratroopers) and the Ulan-Ude forestry. Equipment, specialists — everything is working,» the agency's interlocutor said.
The department noted that the situation is under control.
