A court in the Nizhny Novgorod region arrested Alexander Permyakov, accused of blowing up the car of Zakhar Prilepin. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.

“On behalf of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Nizhny Novgorod Region supported the petition of the preliminary investigation authorities on election of a measure of restraint in the form of detention for a period of 2 months to Alexander Permyakov, ”the department clarified.
Today it became known that Permyakov is accused of committing a terrorist act (Article 205 of the Criminal Code) and illegal arms trafficking (Article 222 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, he blew up the car on the instructions of the SBU.
A 29-year-old young man was detained on May 6, when he was leaving the forest for a village located near the site of Prilepin's car explosion. As Moskovsky Komsomolets wrote, Permyakov was tried in Ukraine under articles on hooliganism and robbery, in 2015 he fought for the self-proclaimed DPR.
Alexander Shubin, Prilepin's bodyguard, was killed in the explosion. The writer himself suffered leg injuries. He was operated on in a Nizhny Novgorod hospital. According to Prilepin, during the explosion he was driving, and Shubin was in the seat next to the driver. “The explosion occurred under his wheel,” Prilepin specified.
