Yudashkin died on May 2 at the age of 60 after a long illness. An open farewell ceremony was held at the Troekurovsky cemetery.

«Today we say goodbye to an outstanding person, creator, artist, a man whose name is forever inscribed in world history, to the People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, holder of the Order of the French Republic, holder of the Order of the Legion of Honor and the Order for services to the Fatherland, with a man who, hand in hand with his beloved wife Marina, lived a bright, unique, sometimes difficult, but talented, worthy life,» the farewell ceremony was said.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences in connection with the death of Yudashkin, noting that he was a brilliant professional, a sincere, very benevolent person. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' Kirill, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Culture Elena Drapeko, Rector of the Vaganova Ballet Academy Nikolai Tsiskaridze and many others also expressed their condolences to the relatives of the fashion designer.
Hundreds of people came to say goodbye to the fashion designer on Saturday, including press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, People's Artist of the USSR singer Alla Pugacheva, People's Artists of Russia Oleg Gazmanov, Nadezhda Babkina, Vladimir Mashkov, actress Klara Novikova, showman Sergei Zverev, singer and musician Alexander Rosenbaum, singer Nikolai Baskov, TV presenters Leonid Yakubovich and Evelina Khromchenko, People's Artist of the RSFSR Vladimir Vinokur, relatives, friends, colleagues and fans of the fashion designer.

Wreaths for the farewell ceremony were sent by the General Director of Channel One Konstantin Ernst , the Kirkorov family, Mikhail Gutseriev, Andrey Malakhov and Alexander Mitroshenkov, Slava Zaitsev Fashion House and many other people and organizations.

The fashion designer was carried out on his last journey with applause. The coffin with the body of Yudashkin is carried to the burial place at the Troekurovsky cemetery.
Yudashkin was born on October 14, 1963 in the village of Bakovka, Moscow Region. Graduated with honors from the Moscow Industrial College in 1986. In 1987, the fashion designer created his first collection, Primordial Rus'. In Paris, the first collection of fashion designer «Faberge» was presented in 1991. In the same year, the fashion house Valentin Yudashkin was founded. Yudashkin became the first Russian designer to be accepted into the Paris Haute Couture Syndicate. Since 1991, his haute couture collections have been shown every season at Paris Haute Couture Weeks, and his prêt-a-porter collections at Milan and Moscow Fashion Weeks.
