MOSCOW, May 6.Well-known artists Alla Pugacheva, Klara Novikova, Nadezhda Babkina and Oleg Gazmanov, as well as presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, attended the farewell ceremony for fashion designer Valentin Yudashkin. Hundreds of people came there — relatives, friends, colleagues and fans of the fashion designer, among whom you can see actor Vladimir Mashkov, showman Sergei Zverev, singer and musician Alexander Rosenbaum, singer Nikolai Baskov, TV presenters Leonid Yakubovich and Evelina Khromchenko, People's Artist of the RSFSR Vladimir Vinokur, former Acting President Vladimir Kozhin.
“I remember him as a boy, whom my mother brought from Bakovka, the first shows in which I participated. <…> This is a terrible loss, a big one,” Novikova said.
Wreaths for the ceremony farewells were sent by the general director of Channel One Konstantin Ernst, the Kirkorov family, Mikhail Gutseriev, Andrey Malakhov and Alexander Mitroshenkov, the Slava Zaitsev Fashion House and many others.
Yudashkin died on May 2 after a serious long illness. He was 59 years old.
Condolences on the death of the fashion designer were expressed by President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' Kirill, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Culture Elena Drapeko, Rector of the Vaganova Ballet Academy Nikolai Tsiskaridze and many others.
Yudashkin was born on October 14, 1963 in the village of Bakovka, Moscow Region. In 1986 he graduated with honors from the Moscow Industrial College. The first collection «Original Rus'» was created in 1987, and since 1991 his collections have been exhibited every season in Paris, Milan and Moscow. At the same time, the fashion designer founded the fashion house Valentin Yudashkin.
