MOSCOW, 10 May. The first state-owned drone operator in Russia, BAS, has received an operator certificate from the Federal Air Transport Agency for the provision of commercial services using UAVs weighing up to 30 kilograms, according to the State Transport Leasing Company (STLC).
“The first in Russia UAV operator with the state participation of BAS LLC received an operator certificate, which will allow the company to provide commercial services using UAVs weighing up to 30 kg,» the message says.
In particular, we are talking about aerial photography, work in the field of agriculture, the provision of services for the transmission or amplification of communication signals.
Earlier, in April, the company applied to the Federal Air Transport Agency for an air operator certificate.
BAS will not only to provide commercial services for unmanned aircraft, but also to contribute to the development of a regulatory framework for the use of UAVs, testing and promotion of the latest technologies, development of competencies,» the STLC notes.
BAS LLC was established in 2022 by the State Transport Transport leasing company and the National Technology Initiative Foundation. At the moment, BAS LLC has contracted 26 unmanned aerial vehicles, and the company intends to lease at least 10 more medium and heavy drones by the end of the year.
