In St. Petersburg, a local resident was arrested for 15 days, who on May 9 shouted “Sieg Heil” in the presence of veterans

The Kirovsky District Court of St. Petersburg arrested local resident Mikhail Timoshikhin for 15 days, who on May 9 shouted «Siegheil» in the presence of veterans. This was reported by the press service of the court.

Timoshikhin was found guilty under an administrative protocol on the demonstration of Nazi symbols (Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). According to the materials of the court, the Petersburger shouted “Sieg Heil” and also raised his hand in a Nazi salute at the “Victorious Tank” monument on Stachek Avenue.

In court, Timoshikhin pleaded guilty and explained that he “was joking badly.” The Petersburger said that he “was in a state of alcoholic intoxication” and “has an alcohol addiction, which he considers necessary to fight, since it interferes with a normal life.”
