As TVN reported earlier, Poland has officially changed the official name of the Russian city of Kaliningrad to Krulewiec. According to him, the Commission for the Standardization of Geographical Names outside the Republic of Poland, at a meeting on April 12, decided that «for a city with the Russian name Kaliningrad, only the Polish name Krulewiec is recommended and it is not recommended to use the name Kaliningrad in the Polish language.»
“The issue of the toponymy of the Kaliningrad region was resolved in 1946, and we demand to use this toponymy. We do not call Poland the Vistula region yet, although we could,” the senator said.
Privislinsky Krai is the administrative-territorial name of a part of the Polish lands that were part of the Russian Empire in the 19th — early 20th centuries.
