MOSCOW, May 12.The Cabinet of Ministers withdrew from the restrictions on the export of more than 200 foreign-made goods from Russia, including certain types of medical products, telecommunications equipment, electrical machines and mechanical devices, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development said on Friday.
The ministry recalled that in March last year, the government introduced restrictions on the export of foreign products that are critical for the smooth functioning of key sectors of the economy. The document developed by the Ministry of Economic Development clarifies the procedure for these restrictions.
“According to the proposals of industry departments and representatives of Russian business, more than 200 items in total have been excluded from export restrictions: household goods, certain types of medical products, telecommunications equipment, electrical machines and mechanical devices, etc. in the message.
In addition, as stated in the press release, the reduction in the range of goods of foreign origin, restricted for export, also simplifies the procedure for the export of Russian goods. Now, exporters who export goods excluded from the regulations do not need to obtain certificates of origin of goods confirming the production of products on the territory of the Russian Federation.
The removal of export restrictions will also affect export deliveries for humanitarian assistance and the elimination of natural disasters and other emergencies, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation added.
