Vasileostrovsky District Court of St. Petersburg placed under house arrest the rector of the Temple Hierofey Vasily Boyko, who is accused of organizing a kidnapping (part 3 of article 33; paragraphs «a» and «c» of part 2 of article 126 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the press service of the city courts.
Until July 11, Boyko was forbidden to leave his place of residence in the Leningrad Region, as well as to use the Internet and communicate with witnesses in the case.
According to investigators, the rector of the temple in the building of the State Fire Inspectorate for the West-Eastern District decided that the person whom the press service refers to as “B” is interested in his removal from worship and disseminates “information discrediting his honor and dignity as a clergyman. Then he decided to hire people for 60 thousand rubles to kidnap «V» and thus reach an agreement with him.
