MOSCOW, May 15. Gosha Kutsenko explained his refusal to star in the movie «World War Z» (2013) with Brad Pitt. He shared the details in a conversation with Laysan Utyasheva.
Shooting was planned in London for the whole summer. At first, Kutsenko decided that he needed to get together and pass the tests.
“They sent me a text on page A4. I’m reading. I know one word through another, but I don’t understand everything together. This is in the modern language of waiters — dismissive, fast American. I realize that I will never learn such a monologue,” Kutsenko recalls.
The artist went on vacation to Bali. He asked for time. I wanted to prepare for the casting on vacation, but I forgot about it. Suddenly they called him — they wanted to organize a direct connection with Brad Pitt.
“I ask, who am I playing? They answer me: a Russian with lung oncology. There was a mirror in front of me. «I really lost weight. I'm starting to learn the text, but I'm not learning. I freaked out and turned off the phone,» says Kutsenko.
Nevertheless, a video call with Pitt was arranged for him. In a conversation, according to the artist, Brad Pitt praised his acting and asked to read the text. Kutsenko admits that he was frightened.

«When I saw him, I thought: «Horror, shame,» says the star of Russian cinema.
The artist assures: they called him and a month later they couldn't find anyone for this role. The fee was 10 thousand pounds a day. But Kutsenko still decided that he would not participate in the project.
As a result, Konstantin Khabensky was approved for the role. But scenes with his participation were cut from the final version of the film.
Earlier it was reported that «Cheburashka» got into the top 20 of the world film distribution.
