MOSCOW, May 16. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation has set a fixed rate of customs duties for a number of electronic products for legal entities, it will amount to 30 thousand rubles, follows from the decision government, published on the official portal of legal information.
Previously, the rate was floating and depended on the volume of the party.
«The rate will be fixed 30 thousand rubles — while the amount will not depend on the size of the lot. According to the analysis of statistics for the last year, the average size of a lot of electronic products reaches almost 5,000 units,» the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation commented on the decision.
«In this regard, a change in the final cost of electronic goods is not predicted,» the ministry added. They noted that the decision was aimed at ensuring a more balanced customs tariff policy — regardless of the number of imported goods, the amount of customs duty will remain no higher than 30,000 rubles.
As follows from the government decree, in the list of goods in respect of which customs fees for customs operations related to the release of goods are set at a rate of 30 thousand rubles, including smartphones, other telephones for cellular networks or other wireless communication networks, base stations, microphones and stands for them, film cameras and film projectors.
«All proceeds from customs duties will be directed to the development of Russian electronics, scientific development and the creation of our own competitive products,» the Ministry of Industry and Trade added.
