
MOSCOW, May 19. Today, on May 19, the XVII International Media Forum of Young Journalists «Dialogue of Cultures» opens in St. Petersburg, the press service of the project reports. It will be held at the State Hermitage.
Experts from 15 countries will come this year. Among them are journalists and representatives of the creative industries of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics and the Kherson region.
“For 17 years, the forum has been a place where participants in a dialogue format look for answers to modern media challenges, present their projects aimed at bringing together different cultures «, — specified in the press release.
On the first day, young media representatives will discuss the dialogue of cultures in the media space of Eurasia. The results of the All-Russian competition «I live in Russia» will also be summed up at the forum. The winners will be awarded commemorative diplomas by Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Russia Vladimir Solovyov.
On May 20, the International Photo Exhibition «I Live Here: 400 Best Works of Young Authors of Eurasia» will open in the Grand Enfilade of the General Staff.
“We are a museum of world cultures, and our main goal is to make sure that there is a dialogue of cultures. If it doesn’t exist, there are wars of memory,” says Mikhail Piotrovsky.
The Forum will host a festival of documentaries, television programs and video projects for digital platforms «I live here». In the program of work from 14 countries.
After two days of work in the Hermitage, the forum participants and students of the St. Petersburg State Film and Television Institute will travel to Gatchina, Shlisselburg, Tosno, Vyborg, Veliky Novgorod, Petrozavodsk and Pskov. They will create reports «One day in Russia» about the North-West region.

XVII «Dialogue of Cultures» is held by the Media Congress «Commonwealth of Journalists», the State Hermitage Museum, the Union of Journalists of Russia, the Russkiy Mir Foundation, with the support of the Government of St. Petersburg, the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, the International Academy of Television and Radio , St. Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg State Institute of Film and Television and St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design.
