HANOI, May 21. Russia is ready to resume wheat supplies and increase meat exports to Vietnam, told reporters in the secretariat of the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, who arrived on a visit to Hanoi .
«In terms of bilateral food cooperation, Russian companies are ready to resume the supply of wheat, as well as increase the export of meat products. This could become an important element in ensuring food security in Vietnam,» the secretariat stressed.
Russia occupies a very large share in the meat market of Vietnam. This country is the largest foreign buyer of Russian pork meat, accounting for almost 50% of its exports.
As for wheat, there was a long break in its supplies, Russian agricultural attache in this country Viktoria Gorshkova spoke about Vietnam's readiness to accept Russian wheat.
