Irina Babloyan said that the publications about the journalist who applied to the Charité because of her health problems were about her. She stressed that this was not connected with her participation in the Mikhail Khodorkovsky forum in Berlin — she became ill a few months before the event. She wrote about this in her telegram channel.
“The state of my health has nothing to do with the Mikhail Khodorkovsky forum, which took place a month ago in Berlin,” Babloyan wrote. According to her, her health problems began several months before the event. Now the journalist is being treated at the German clinic «Charite», where the politician Alexei Navalny was treated after being poisoned by Novichok.
Babloyan asks everyone not to rush to conclusions. “Is it poisoning? So far, little can be said and it is impossible to say for sure that this is poisoning. Doctors "Charite" are diligently looking after me,” she wrote.
On May 16, the Agency published material that a few days after the forum, Mikhail Khodrkovsky, which took place on April 29-30 in Berlin, at the head of the Free Russia Foundation ” Natalia Arno experienced “severe malaise”, “numbness of the body and pain”, and another journalist turned to the Charité “with health problems”. Later it became known that it was Irina Babloyan. On May 21, the press service of the Berlin Criminal Police told the Welt newspaper that they had launched an investigation.
In addition, the «Agency» said that the former US ambassador to Ukraine, and now the senior director of the Eurasian Center Atlantic Council John Herbst experienced symptoms of departure months before the start of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. According to the publication, the FBI also opened an investigation due to Herbst's symptoms of poisoning.
