MOSCOW, May 22. An antiterrorist operation regime has been introduced in the Belgorod Region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on his Telegram channel.
“In order to ensure the safety of citizens in the Belgorod Region, the legal regime of the counterterrorist operation has been introduced today, which establishes special measures and temporary restrictions,” said the head of the region.
This list includes:
- verification of identity documents;
- temporary resettlement of residents from certain areas and towing of vehicles; on the streets and roads;
- inspection at the entrance and exit from the region;
- admission of CTO participants to the premises of residents within the framework of anti-terrorist events;
- use in urgent cases of transport of residents for hospitalization or prosecution of terrorist suspects.
The Governor stressed that most of the population of the border villages and the regional center of the Graivoronsky district, which included Ukrainian saboteurs, left the territory.
Today, a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group has penetrated the territory of the Grayvoron District. Gladkov said that eight local residents were injured, there were no deaths. The military and security forces are taking all measures to eliminate the saboteurs.
In addition, in the morning, the city of Grayvoron was subjected to mortar fire from Ukraine for several hours. Residents of the Belgorod region were sent fake messages about the evacuation of the city of Shebekino. According to Gladkov, this is a massive information attack aimed at provoking panic among the civilian population.
As Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov noted, the purpose of the sabotage in the Belgorod region, which was invaded by the Ukrainian DRG, is Kiev's attempt to minimize the political effect of the loss of Artemovsk .
