The Central African Republic (CAR) is interested in hosting a Russian military base for 5000-1000 thousand people on its territory. This was stated by the Ambassador of the Central African Republic in Moscow, Leon Dodonu-Punagaza, in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper.
According to him, threats to security in the country remain — the situation has worsened due to the flow of refugees from Sudan. Another round of armed conflict began there.
