
MOSCOW, May 26 . The Russian film company Russian World Vision (RWV) has received the rights to films by the iconic Japanese animation studio Ghibli. This was reported in the press service of the domestic company.

«22 films of the golden library of Studio Ghibli, created by Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata in 1985, passed into the ownership of the Russian World Vision company produced by Konstantin Elkin, — the press release says.
The package contains 10 projects by Miyazaki and tapes by other masters. RWV has bought all types of rights and is going to sell them on the territory of Russia and the CIS.

"The competition for the paintings was high, we are very pleased that we had the honor of working with these masterpieces of world animation by the genius of our time Hayao Miyazaki. Films will be available for viewing in online cinemas, at the moment we are negotiating with sites. Whose catalog the library will be in will be known later,” Yelkin clarified.
According to RWV director of distribution Daria Ryazantseva, a full-fledged re-rental of tapes is planned.
“Also, all the films will go to the company’s cinema library and will be available for one-time event screenings in cinemas,” Ryazantseva added.
RWV bought the rights to the films Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, My Neighbor Totoro , «The Witch's Delivery Service», (dir. Hayao Miyazaki), «Howl's Moving Castle» and others.
Earlier it was reported that «Cheburashka» got into the top 20 of the world film distribution.
