Aerologistics competition will be held in the Moscow region

ALFERYEVO AERODROME (Moscow Region), May 28. The largest event in the field of unmanned cargo delivery by air — the Aerologistics technology competition started in the Moscow region and will last a week, participation in It will host six teams, said Gleb Babintsev, General Director of the Aeronext Association, one of the organizers of the event.
«We have prepared a very difficult task for the teams, and today there are few technology companies in the world who dare to such a test. Significant distance, dozens of takeoffs and landings on a dynamically changing route with baggage reloading, a limited route corridor — the most realistic simulation of flights in urban infrastructure Each next test becomes more difficult, on Satellite 2 (the second stage of the competition — ed.) a dynamic route will appear and maintenance on the sites will disappear, and next year it will also be necessary to automatically avoid collisions, «Babintsev said.

He explained that the competition is aimed at developing and testing in an experimental legal regime technological solutions that are critical for the start of widespread use of drones in the Russian Federation for the transport of goods by air.

The competition is organized by the Aeronext Association and the NTI Project Support Fund.
Babintsev specified that every day one of the six teams representing Russian developers of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) will take part in the competition, they will compete in overcoming the complex technological barrier that exists in the field of cargo delivery by drones. Among the participants are the teams of GBS companies — Cargo Unmanned Systems LLC, Geoscan, NPP Radar mms, Turing Flying Machines, Omnitech and DIAM-AERO.
«Technological competition» Aerologistics «will allow leading companies to work out and publicly demonstrate the level of their developments in such important parameters as the automation of UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles — ed.) — within the framework of the competition, movement is carried out in a completely autonomous mode, including takeoff and landing; reliability of work UAV in real conditions. And in 2024, collision avoidance technologies in the airspace will also be tested — several aircraft will move in the air, and to win the competition, it is necessary not only to fly autonomously, but also to avoid a collision without the intervention of the UAV operator, «- explained Yuri Molodykh, Managing Director of the Center for the Development of the System of Technological Competitions of the NTI Project Support Fund.
