The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow ruled to return to the Ministry of Justice the materials of three administrative cases against Moscow City Duma deputy Daria Besedina, which were initiated due to the lack of a «foreign agent» label in her publications. Information about this is published on the website of the court.
That protocols were drawn up against Besedina under part 4 of article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, it became known on May 24, when the cards of administrative cases appeared on the website of the court. The exact reasons for the return of the case materials are unknown.
Punishment under Part 4 of Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses involves a fine of 30,000 to 50,000 rubles for citizens. Last week it became known that such protocols were also drawn up against the writer Dmitry Glukhovsky, the head of the ANNA resource center Marina Pisklakova-Parker, the sociologist Viktor Vakhshtein and the libertarian Mikhail Svetov.
The Ministry of Justice declared Besedina a “foreign agent” in January 2023. According to the agency, the deputy «participated in the creation and distribution of materials of foreign agents», «spoke out against the special military operation» and «propaganda of LGBT relations.»
